De originele versie is van 1939 en is daarna nogmaals verschenen in het Nieuwsblad van het Noorden van 5 maart 1960. Pas na 70 jaar kwam er met hulp van de computer een positionele bijoplossing van de originele compositie aan het licht. Het bijplaatsen van een zwarte schijf op 16 en een witte op 49 redde dit juweel van een gewisse dood! An arrangement

original version is from 1939
and has been published again in the Dutch newspaper 'Nieuwsblad van het Noorden' on March 5, 1960. After 70 years, a draughts computer program discovered a positional side solution. An extra black man on 16 and a white man on 49 saved this juwel, fortunately! R: Juweel van een stand en combinatie van slagen. Een klassiek meerslagsysteem dat sindsdien nooit echt verbeterd is! Hiermee kon een periode van 17 jaar ploeteren op dit motief, dat op naam van J.F. Moser zou moeten staan, worden afgesloten! Let behalve op de afwikkeling ook op de gespiegelde, symmetrische schijvenformaties. Het is wellicht mijn beste compositie. Geduld en vasthoudendheid lonen." Hoofdlijn 178, oktober 2013. Hoe dit probleem ontstaan is viel te lezen in De Problemist van april 2014! Believe it or
not, Hein composed this problem within a couple of minutes. Although,
before that moment,
there was a period of 17 years (sic!) work on this motif of J.F. Moser, without any success! Apart from the development of this composition, it is the symmetrical piece arrangement that will catch your eyes. The author judges this composition as his best. Hoofdlijn 178, October 2013. Maar ja, hoe krijg je dan het bijzondere 3-14x47x4, waarbij letterlijk een paar zwarte dammen sneuvelt, voor elkaar? Je zou kunnen zeggen dat er met de eerste acht zetten moeizaam een berg wordt beklommen om deze dan in sneltreinvaart af te dalen! De Zuidlimburger 1960. It is often said

3-14x47x4, through which a couple of black kings are shot? The first eight moves can be compared with slowly climbing a mountain, but after that there is a speedy declining experienced! Janus Wuijtenburg (1943-2016)  L: In de rubriek "De beste problemen van tien jaar geleden" van Menno Veldstra in De Problemist van augustus 2014 kwam deze compositie weer in beeld uit, uiteraard, De Problemist van augustus 2004. Eén uit een serie van opsluitingen met een sleutelrol voor veld 11, dat tweemaal door wit wordt bezet. Frappant is de gelijkenis met het probleem van Benjamin Morkus: het slot is hetzelfde, de beginstand haast hetzelfde, alle vier schijven uit de zwarte piramide worden met dezelfde vier meerslagen gebracht, maar wit benut ze toch op een totaal andere manier. In the
column 'Best problems of ten years ago' by Menno Veldstra in De
Problemist of August 2014,
this composition became again in sight, of course, from De Problemist of August 2014. One of a series of confinements with a key role for square 11, that was occupied twice by white. Striking is the similarity with the composition of Benjamin Morkus: the end is the same, the initial position almost too, all four men from the black pyramid are situated by four similar strokes, but nevertheless, white use them on a quite different way. A very special twins! M: Pieter Kuijper in De Problemist april 2016: "Hiervan staat een mens paf. Een Kieboom-beginzet en een heen-en-weertje van de dam, die daartoe eerst schijf 26 uit de weg moet zien te krijgen. Wat mij betreft is dit er eentje voor in de Timoneda Top Honderd." A Kieboom-start-move and a back and forth of the king, that initially has to remove piece 26. To my opinion, this one belongs to the Timoneda Top Hundred. De Problemist December 2015. Bovenstaande bewerking werd door de lezers tot mooiste probleem van 25 jaar Hoofdlijn gekozen! Four black kings
and an unlikely king's pyramid as the end! The author puzzled nearly 20
years (!) on
this theme, as may be judged from earlier compositions in 'Het Nieuwe Damspel' of July 1985, 'Dam Eldorado' of March 1989, and 'De Problemist' of August 2003. The arrangement shown here was chosen as the most beautiful composition of 25 years of the draughts magazine 'Hoofdlijn' !
